Hey New Yorkers – it’s another Wednesday! Let’s make the most of this week in NYC! Join others going to these events and split the cab fare.
Electric Zoo begins on Friday, August 30th and lasts until Sunday, September 1st! Come for one of the craziest electronica celebration during Labor Day weekend. See artists such as Avicii, David Guetta, and Armin Van Buuren perform at Randall’s Island. Don’t forget to visit some of the after parties after each day of EZoo!
On Friday, August 31st, come to Central Park, Rumsey Playfield to watch the talented Alicia Keys perform for free! The concert begins at 7 AM, but if you want the best seats arrive by 6 AM.
Beans will be performing at the Glasslands on Tuesday, September 3rd, along with 4 other bands. The night will be a mixture of rap, blues, and electronica as these performers hit the stage.
On Monday, September 2nd, West Indian American Day Carnival will take place at Eastern Parkway at 11 AM. Come for a day full of Caribbean pride and culture, as they parade around. Enjoy Caribbean based music, food and fun while at the festival.
On Saturday, August 31st, Beacon, Shigeto, and Heathered Pearls will be performing at the Bowery Ballroom bringing a night full of electronic beats to the stage. Beacon features smooth, calm vocals, with soft downtempo electronic beats in the background creating a relaxing atmosphere for the audience. Shigeto features driving beats energizing the crowd. Heathered Pearls features dark undertones with an overlay of soft and light tones.

It’s time to get your drink on in a Shakespearean fashion. Join others on Saturday, August 31st, as you go to four different bars in The Bowery, Manhattan area while also enjoying 4 different Shakespeare performances.
From Friday, August 29th, to Sunday, September 1st, the unicycle festival will be taking place. On Friday, there will be a 13 mile unicycle race in Brooklyn. For the 30th and 31st, the festival will be on Governor’s Island.
The US Open continues at Arthur Ashe Stadium until Monday, September 9th.
