It’s time to get your drink on in a Shakespearean fashion. Join others on Saturday, August 17th, as you go to four different bars in the Park Slope area while also enjoying 4 different Shakespeare performances.
Join Alliance for Coney Island and Astella Development Corps. on Saturday, August 17th, for a sand sculpting contest. There will be live music and performances as you watch, or participate, in building sand sculpture masterpieces! There will be cash prizes for the 3 best sand sculptures and registration is free!
Ballet v6.0 is coming to an end on Saturday, August 17th, with the showing of Jessica Lang’s contemporary dance company debut performance at the Joyce Theater. They will be performing From Foreign Lands and People, a comical ballet accompanied by live music set to Schumann’s Kinderszenen Opus 15; I.N.K, a dance that utilizes Shinichi Maruyama’s video projections and an original score created from liquid sounds by Jakub Ciupinski; Aria ; and A Solo in Nine Parts.
American Modern begins this Sunday, August 18t. The MoMA is bringing out American art made between 1915 and 1950, showcasing the cultural preoccupation of a rapidly changing America during the 1st half of the 20th century. Artists being shown range from Edward Hopper to Andrew Wyeth.
Get your nerd on as Nerd Nite brings 25 of their best Nerd Nite presenters for 3 days of nerdiness. The global festival begins on Friday, August 16th, and ends on Sunday, August 18th, at Brooklyn Lyceum. During that time there will be a performance by Main Squeeze Orchestra, games, trivia, free beer, and cheap wine!

Shakespeare in the Park
Shakespeare in the Park ends on Saturday, August 18th, so be sure to see the play Love’s Labour’s Lost before it closes!
On Saturday, August 17th, 7 miles of NY streets will be open for play,walks, and bikes. It starts at 7 am to 1 Pm, and begins at Brooklyn Bridge down to Central Park, along Park Avenue and connecting streets.
The Crest Art Show ends on Saturday, August 17th, be sure to check out some interesting art before it ends.
